LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James has been widely acknowledged as the greatest of all time basketball stars. Michael Jordan is usually considered when discussing who is the best player. James was awarded four NBA championships and four NBA MVPs as well as three MVPs of the All-Star team and two Olympic medals. James has earned the second highest number of career goals, and the seventh most assists. James has been named as an NBA All-Star 18 times. This is an NBA record for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. As a total, James participated in more than 10 NBA Finals, the third-most ever. It was eight in a row between 2011 and 2018. James has been chosen for an NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has scored 10,000+ points in rebounds, assists, and points during his professional career, in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. National media touted James as a possible NBA superstar. A prep-to-pro, he was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. In 2004 he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly established himself as one of the top league players, and won the NBA MVP in both the years 2009 and 2010. He was unable to secure an NBA championship, Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent to join with the Miami Heat this was announced in the television program The Decision and is among the most controversial free agent decisions throughout sports history.
