Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20 in 1966) is an American model actor, actress, and TV host. During the 1980s and 1990s she was one of the most popular supermodels and was a regular on magazine covers and runways as well as on fashion shows. In the years following, she expanded her acting career and ventured into business. In her sophomore year in high school, she was contacted by a call from a local retailer regarding modeling work and was shocked to find out it was a joke by two students. Crawford was offered a job by a different store the next year to model. They also held an fashion shoot. Roger Legel (a local photographer) approached Crawford in her junior year of high school to photograph her. The task included shooting with Crawford to be published in the magazine. Crawford was inspired to try modeling after the compliments and positive photos she received. She began her career with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it shortly after she signed. She participated in Elite's Look of the Year contest at the age of 17 and reached the finals at the national level.
