Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor as well as a performer. Her parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen's talent for entertainment was discovered at a very young age. When she was in 1992, the actress attended her first audition and won an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency just before turning 13 years old. She then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. Also, Bell began taking acting lessons privately. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in both the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production at her highschool won Bell the role of the lead Dorothy part. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts for a musical theater course following her the completion of her studies. Bell completed her studies in 2001, resigned her studies at the university to play the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in has been cut out and the credits are all that depict her. Bell appeared part of the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
